Getting the final adjustments on the MM 2 can be touchy. While the included mount is very versatile and easy to set up. That one time when you need to project a 45? it may get bothersome. Granted, the vast majority of the time you will be needing a perfectly level or plumb line. 3 seconds and is off for about 1 second, this is still a bit annoying. The only issue with this, is that the laser still blinks the whole time. The “manual mode” that Bosch speaks of, is simply moving the unit to the angle you need and you’re all set. This makes it easy to indicate you need to move it slightly so it can align itself. The laser blinks when it is out of plumb or level. You simply switch it on and arrange it so the lines are where you want them. I found the Bosch GLL 30 Cross Line Laser Level incredibly easy to use. Bosch Cross Line Laser Level Review Performance It allows mounting on surfaces from ½” to 2-1/4” thick. They are easy to see, even in highly lit areas, although outside during a bright sunny day may be difficult. The unit projects two perpendicular red laser lines. The bottom of the unit has a ¼” – 20 attachment to facilitate use on normal camera tripods and clamping mounts. This helps protect the unit in case of falls, as well as makes gripping the unit easier. The edges and corners have rubber over molding. When the unit is switched off, it also locks the pendulum to prevent damage when not in use (during transport). The OFF/ON switch is easy to see and manipulate, even with gloves on.
